Ingredients

Directions

  1. Pick firm, ripe cherries with stems and place them in a stone jar.

  2. In a kettle, combine vinegar, sugar to taste, allspice, mace, cloves, and cinnamon.

  3. Heat the mixture until scalding hot, then pour it over the cherries.

  4. Let the cherries sit overnight.

  5. Pour the vinegar off the cherries into the kettle, scald it again, and pour it back over the cherries.

  7. Your pickle is ready for use.
