Frosted Creams

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a large bowl, mix molasses, melted butter, hot water, baking soda, ginger, and salt.

  3. Gradually add flour until the dough is soft enough to roll out.

  4. Roll out the dough and cut it into squares.

  5. Bake until just done, being careful not to overbake.

  6. Let cool slightly, then frost.
