Ingredients

Directions

  1. Stone and wash the raisins and currants. Pick out any large stones from the currants.

  2. Chop the beef suet finely.

  3. Blanch and chop the sweet and bitter almonds.

  4. Mix the suet, almonds, flour, and soaked bread crumbs together.

  5. Cut the preserved fruits into small pieces and add them along with the mixed spice.

  6. In a separate bowl, beat the sugar and eggs together until well combined.

  7. Stir the egg mixture into the pudding mixture, adding milk to achieve a thick batter consistency.

  8. Pour the brandy over the fruit and spice mixture and combine well.
