Bread Pudding

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Break stale bread into the milk and let it soak on the back of the stove.

  2. Use enough bread so that it thoroughly soaks in the milk for the right consistency.

  3. Add the butter and let it melt, then stir in the sugar.

  4. Beat the eggs well and add them to the mixture, followed by the raisins.

  5. Spice to your preference; you can add molasses for a darker color.

  6. For variation, spread a layer of jelly on top and frost with beaten egg whites mixed with a little sugar.
