Ingredients

Directions

  1. In a pot, combine sugar and 2 cups water. Bring to a boil.

  2. Dissolve corn starch in a little cold water and add to the boiling mixture.

  3. Stir in glucose and citric acid. Cook until the syrup leaves your fingers easily when tested in cold water.

  4. Pour the mixture onto a slab dusted with powdered sugar. Smooth the top and lightly sift more sugar over it.

  5. Once cool, cut into blocks and allow to crystallize.
