Fresh green peas
Form the main body of the dish, becoming tender when boiled after preserving.
Butter
Adds richness and a smooth, rounded mouthfeel to the cooked peas.
Sugar
Adds a touch of sweetness that balances the mint and the peas' natural flavour.
Dried mint
Contributes aroma and herbal flavour to the cooked peas.
