What each ingredient does
- Green peas
- Form the main body of the dish, cooking to a tender, sweet texture.
- Butter
- Adds richness and a silky mouthfeel as it melts over the hot peas.
- Parsley
- Flavours the cooking water with a fresh, herbal aroma, then is removed.
