An Excellent Trifle

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Mix wine, brandy, sherry, and spirit in a bowl.

  2. Soak sponge biscuits, macaroons, and ratifias in the mixture.

  3. Cover the bottom of a trifle dish with soaked cakes.

  4. Prepare rich boiled custard by combining milk, cream, eggs, sugar, and flavoring, then pour over the cakes.

  5. Layer the remaining soaked cakes on top of the custard.

  6. Whip the thin cream until light and frothy, then gently heap it over the trifle.

  7. Flavor the whipped cream with a little wine.
